All first-time hygiene patients will receive a cleaning, x-rays, and a comprehensive exam with one of our doctors.
-
How much will my services cost?
The cost of any dental procedure will vary, depending on a number of things (insurance coverage, type of treatment needed, number of tooth surfaces involved). While we are unable to quote prices over the phone, we recommend scheduling a consultation with the doctor. Once a treatment plan is determined, our treatment coordinator will go over pricing with you and request a pre-treatment estimate from your insurance company, if necessary.
-
How often should I visit the dentist?
It is recommended that you visit the dentist at least twice a year, having x-rays taken annually. This helps to maintain good oral health and catch potential problems early, before they come a serious problem.
-
How long is a typical cleaning appointment?
All patients ages 1-13 are scheduled for 30 minutes. Patients ages 14+ are scheduled for a full hour. The appointment lengths differ in time because of the number of teeth in the mouth.
-
When do you recommend that children start seeing a dentist?
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that a child’s first dental visit should occur by their first birthday, or within six months of their first tooth erupting. However, we have come to recognize that some children do best around age three.
